Welcome to the official website of Fire Station no. 2 Katowice-Piotrowice.

Fire Station no. 2 was opened in 1987. Currently, seventy two firefighters serve in the station on three shifts, and they have nine vehicles for fire and rescue actions in use. Firefighters from the station protect an area included south districts of Katowice.
Fire Station no. 2 is one of four Fire Stations located in the Silesia Province where Specialist Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group was formed. And also the European Civil Protection Module for recognition CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) threats was formed on base of Fire Station no.2 Katowice-Piotrowice. Firefighters from the station participate in trainings and exercises within the confines of the European Civil Protection Mechanism so they are prepared for carrying on specialist rescue actions on whole European Union territory.
